Travel Diaries: LALA Land
This February our Creative Director + Founder traveled to the City of Angles for some much needed R and R, but to also explore the fashion district and what it has to offer.
VENICE
The Historical Ellison Building: 15 Poloma Ave.
Built in 1913, located on the coast of Venice Beach originally owned by a comedy duo. In 1950, the Ellison was converted into apartments and about a decade later, a young Jim Morrison (of the Doors) called it home. E P I C.
The Neighbourhood:
Gjusta Bakery^^^: Located in Venice, mornings we would walk to this amazing bakery (but not just a bakery) for some coffee and morning eats. With no indoor seating just standing space, we look to their outside unconventional patio. We enjoy our morning on top of crates for tables and seating.
EXPLORING
Checked off the list! We motored around and was able to visit all the places on our list. Fashion District, Melrose, Intelligentia in Silver Lake, Donut Friend in Highlands, Nasty Gal Store, Abbot Kinney, Venice Canals, Santa Monica Pier, and Runyon Canyon.
RUNYON CANYON:
Though the city was blanketed with the LA smog it was a great warm day to get our hike on like the stars do! (we didn't see any but instagram sure shows us otherwise)
The Buys:
During this amazing trip to LALA Land I discovered California based beach apparel company...AMUSE SOCIETY. It has been my latest obsession and will need every piece from their collection. ASAP. Beach Vida Bling! XX
